Biography
I joined ATA back in 2009, when I was 5 years old. Focus and discipline were a large part of my training, along with developing the confidence to stand up for myself when other kids tried to pick on me.
I knew that I wanted to be an instructor from the beginning. When I was young, I remember sitting in the backseat of the car, and asking my mom which college I should go to in order to become an instructor. It was my instructors, Mr. Heller and Mr. Miller, who inspired me to become an instructor. The way in which they taught made them seem like rockstars, and it captivated me, and as I’ve instructed over the years, I’ve found that it’s not only enjoyable, but rewarding. Seeing my students succeed, whether it be learning a new kick or earning a belt, fuels me as an instructor.
Taekwondo is my biggest passion, and I dedicate most of my spare time to pushing myself and improving my skills. However, when I’m not training in Taekwondo, I enjoy playing music, such as guitar, and I also enjoy cooking and learning new recipes. If you have any great recipes to try, let me know!
